EXTRUSION:
The frame is extruded out of one block by a super big extrusion machines which has more power and squeezes the aluminium material much more than regular extrusion machines which results in a stiffer construction. We call it the Super Extrusion Concept.

MATERIAL:
Aluminium alloys are alloys in which aluminium (Al) is the predominant metal. The typical alloying elements are copper, magnesium, manganese, silicon and zinc.The 7005 aluminium we use for the Icon frame contains more zinc and has a higher tensile strength than 6000 series aluminium; important for the strength and rigidity of the frames. The frame is also T6 heat treated.

CHARACTERISTICS:
The secret of the frame is it´s unique construction. The Icon frame is very stiff in the middle block and has a little bit of flex on the wings. A perfect frame for female or lightweight skater, and very technical athletes who need a little more flex for their optimum performance. The CNC work in the second step gives the Icon frame a unique and extraordinary design and also results in an optimal stiffness/flex ratio as decribed before. However it’s not only the CNC work and construction give the Icon frame it´s specific look, the precisious lazer print is another highlight of the frame. One of the special features is the scales along the side of the mounting slots, which are placed on the front and rear to help the skater to adjust his frame-boot set up.
The Icon frame features the 195mm mounting standard. It comes with M7 standard single axles with torx head featuring first class lazer prints. The torx head has the advantage that the axles do not go round too easy compared with regular hex axles.
All frames of the Core collection have some CNC cuts around the front and rear mounting block to fit our Pitch & Stride Control. The combination of the across slot in the frame and the along slot in our boots is called the X-Slot Mounting. This system enables the skater to adjust the boot-frame setup without any dead spots according to his skating style and preferences.
